Methodology

How Rentscore works

A transparent, independent methodology — no black boxes, no hidden factors. Every score component is published and explainable.

What is Rentscore

Rentscore is your digital rental reputation. It rewards you for being a great tenant by turning your rental history into a powerful score that landlords trust.

Renting a home involves financial commitments, legal obligations, and maintenance responsibilities under a signed contract. When these terms are upheld, a tenant's market value increases; when breached, it decreases. Rentscore provides landlords, property agents, property managers, creditors, underwriters, and guarantors with a transparent understanding of the risks — or lack thereof — associated with a prospective tenancy.

Your score is not fixed. It adapts over time to reflect real-world habits, rewarding long-term reliability and building a stronger reputation with every single tenancy.

How Rentscore Works for Diverse Use Cases

For Individual Tenants & Landlords

Rentscore provides a clear summary of your past rental performance, signalling to landlords and managers that you are a trustworthy, responsible, and conscientious custodian of a property.

For Risk Management

While a Rentscore is a straightforward risk metric rather than a deeply nuanced narrative of every historical occurrence, it empowers landlords, creditors, lenders, underwriters, and guarantors with a reliable baseline for swift, data-driven decision-making.
